Purchased in Summer of 2020.  After searching the nation for a wrecked C5 or C6 I found this already mostly hacked up kart in Kansas on facebook marketplace with 82,000 miles.  It was salvaged due to a front end hit that wasn’t bad. I drove out from Phoenix and picked it up and I have been driving it and adding to it ever since. 

First Round of modifications
$40 ebay intake, battery and PCM relocation, cheap BMW headlights, Craigslist longtube headers and off road x pipe with 2012 Ford Mustang GT500 mufflers, Polaris RZR 900 bed.  State of AZ level 3 inspection since it was a salvage title from Kansas.  All they did was verify VIN numbers there is zero safety items checked for a level 3 inspection.  I had just chopped off the front bumper which had the frame VIN on it, this created a problem for them even though I brought that frame chunk with me.  So they had to put an AZ Identification number on it to title it.  Then they gave me my plates and sent me on my way.  I have been around many many cops driving this thing and they don’t bat an eye.  In fact a bunch of cops a restaurant came up to me just to ask questions and get a photo with it.

Weighed in at 2545 pounds on intercomp race scales.  Before I added the cage and front bumper.

Second Round
Roll cage, 1.75″ .120 wall DOM with 6×6″ floor plates.  This should make it legal for every race organization, NHRA, SCCA, etc
Bike mounts to haul 2 mountain bikes to the trail

Adding boost but keeping it under 600rwhp so hopefully the stock crank and rods stay happy
